General Eligibility Criterion

  • Aspiring candidate should be a citizen of India

  • Aspiring candidate should have passed the qualifying examination

B. A.


F.Y.B.A. – List of Qualifying Examinations

  • Std.(10+2) examination with English as a regular student 
  • Std.(10+2) examination with English as a external student 
  • SSC (either 10 or 11 years) with English and IAF Educational test for Promotion to the rank of corporal. 
  • Trained Teacher Certificate course awarded by Inter-state Board of Anglo Indian education, New Delhi 
  • Diploma in Education with English of Bureau of Government of Maharashtra 
  • Intermediate Arts examination from the Recognized Board of Secondary Education, M.P. Bhopal with 4 subjects including General English. 
  • Intermediate Commerce examination from the Recognized Board of Secondary Education, M.P. Bhopal with 4 subjects including General English. 
  • 3 Years Diploma in Pharmacy Course (after S.S.C. i.e. 10th), of Board of Technical Education conducted by Government of Maharashtra or its equivalent 
  • 3 Years Diploma in Technical Education after S.S.C. i.e. 10th standard awarded by Board of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra or its equivalents

S.Y.B.A. – List of Qualifying Examinations

  • F.Y.B.A. passed or ATKT with backlogs in maximum 2 heads of passing as regular or external student of University of Pune
  • F.Y.B.A. passed from any other University other than Pune
  • Bachelor's degree in any faculty.
  • FYBA Restructured or Vocational Pattern Passed Students Internally as a regular student are Eligible for External Admission
  • FYBA Restructured or Vocational Pattern Students Internally as a regular student with backlogs in maximum 2 subjects are not Eligible for External Admission
  • Students passing First Year exam from any other university (Open/Regular) should have passed 10+2 Pattern Certificate exam. are eligible for Second and Third Year of Degree Course of this University, if equivalence is satisfactory.

T.Y.B.A. – List of Qualifying Examinations

  • F.Y.B.A. and S.Y.B.A. passed as regular student of any other University other than Pune
  • F.Y.B.A. passed, and S.Y.B.A. passed or with backlogs in maximum 2 Subjects of passing as regular or external student of Pune University.
  • SYBA Restructured or Vocational Pattern Passed or failed Students Internally as a regular student are not Eligible for External Adrmission
  • Students passing First Year exam from any other university (Open/Regular) should have passed 10+2 Pattern Certificate exam. are eligible for Second and Third Year of Degree Course of this University, if equivalence is satisfactory.
B. Com.


F.Y.B.Com. – List of Qualifying Examinations

  • Standard 10+2 or its equivalent examination passed with English subject
  • Intermediate Arts/Commerce examination from the Board of Secondary Education, M.P. Bhopal with 4 subjects including General English.
  • 2 Years Diploma in Pharmacy (after H.Sc) awarded by Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State or its equivalent
  • 3 Years Diploma in Technical Education after S.S.C. i.e. 10th standard awarded by Board of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra or its equivalent
  • Internal Pratical subjects Backlog not eligible for External admissions

  • F.Y.B.Com. passed as regular student of any recognized University other than Pune

  • F.Y.B.Com. and S.Y.B.Com. passed as a regular student of any recognized University other than Pune

  • M.A.-Part I passed or failed as an external student from University of Pune
  • M.A.-Part I passed or failed as regular student from University of Pune
  • Student pasing first year with credit system from University of Pune are not Eligible for admission to second year externally.
M.A. (Mental, Moral & Social Sciences)


M.A.-Part I (MMSS) (External Repeater Students Only) – List of Qualifying Examinations

  • M.A(MMSS) - Part I failed as a External student from Pune University Only

M.A.-II (MMSS) – List of Qualifying Examinations

  • M.A.-Part I passed or failed as an external student from University of Pune
  • M.A.-Part I passed or failed as regular student from University of Pune
  • Student pasing first year with credit system from University of Pune are not Eligible for admission to second year externally.
M.Com. (Semester Pattern)

  • The student who has passed any degree of University of Pune or any other recognised University shall be admitted to M.Com. Course.
  • Duration of the Course:
    The M.Com. Course will be of Two years duration consisting of Two parts .i.e. Part I and Part II. Each part is having Two Semester .Thus the M.Com Course is of Four Semesters . Each Semester there will be Four Papers of 100 marks each .Thus The M.Com Degree will be of 1600 Marks.
  • For External Students, there will be an Examination of 100 marks on Case Study at the end of IV Semester.

M.A.- semester I – List of Qualifying Examinations

  • B.A. (Mathematics), B.Sc. (Mathematics) from University of Pune
  • B.A. (Mathematics), B.Sc. (Mathematics) from University other than Pune(Mathematics Subject at Final Year)

M.A.- semester II

  • M.A. - semester I passed or failed as external student of University of Pune
  • M.A.– semester I regular students are not eligible for Semester II external

M.A.- semester III – List of Qualifying Examinations

  • Semester I and semester II passed combined at least 5 subjects out of 10 subjects as an external student of University of Pune
  • Semester I and semester II passed combined at least 5 out of 10 subjects passed as regular student of University of Pune
  • Students passing first year with credit system from Pune University are not Eligible for admission to second year.

M.A.- semester IV

  • Semester I and Semester II passed with Semester III passed or failed as external student of University of Pune
  • Semester III regular students are not eligible for Semester IV external
M.Sc. (Mathematics)


M.Sc.-Mathematics -I – List of Qualifying Examinations

  • B.Sc. (Mathematics) from University of Pune
  • B.Sc. (Mathematics) from University other than Pune (Mathematics Subject at Final Year)
  • BE Passed from University of Pune - Mathematics subject atleast up to second year
  • BE Passed from University other than Pune - Mathematics subject atleast up to second year

M.Sc.-Mathematics- semester II

  • M.Sc. - semester I passed or failed as external student of University of Pune
  • M.Sc.– semester I regular students are not eligible for M. Sc.– semester II external

M.Sc.-Mathematics- semester III – List of Qualifying Examinations

  • For Semester I and semester II passed combined at least 5 out of 10 subjects as an external student of Pune University
  • For Semester I and semester II passed combined at least 5 out of 10 subjects as regular student of Pune University
  • Students passing first year with credit system from Pune university are not eligible for admission to second year externally.

M.Sc.-Mathematics- semester IV

  • semester I and semester II passed, and semester III passed or failed as external student of University of Pune
  • semester III regular students are not eligible for semester IV external
LL.M.


LL.M. - semester I – List of Qualifying Examinations

  • LL.B. Passed from University of Pune
  • LL.B. Passed from University other than Pune

LL.M. – semester II

  • LL.M.- semester I passed or failed as external student with valid registration
  • LL.M.- semester I regular students are not eligible for LL.M.- semester II external

LL.M. – semester III – List of Qualifying Examinations

  • LL.M.- semester I passed (120 marks for new syllabus students) and LL.M.- semester II passed or failed ATKT as a regular or external student having valid registration only from Pune University (however student cannot appear for more than 6 papers of semester I plus semester II plus semester III taken together)

LL.M. – semester IV

  • LL.M.- semester I and LL.M.- semester II passed with at least 240 marks out of 480 marks in semester I and II combined and LL.M.- semester III passed or failed with valid registration
  • LL.M.- semester III regular students are not eligible for LL.M.- semester IV external

Eligibility Criterion for Class Improvement
  • Should have valid registration for class improvement
  • Should have passed the degree examination (external) of Pune University within last five years from the date of application
  • Should not have crossed the limit of maximum three attempts for class improvement
  • Should appear for at least 1/3 of the total theory courses on which class is awarded
  • B.A. and B.Com. applicants cannot select first year’s subjects for class improvement

  • External Students are not eligible for jaykar library facility, hostel facility and any financial aid provided by university of pune.
