1. I had purchased examination/registration form last year; can I submit that to University ?

Answer : : No. This year onwards applicants have to fill in online form on this website only, after filling in you have to take printouts of online application form and then send it to the prescribed address.

2.What is the procedure for changing correspondence address?

Answer : If the candidate is already a registered student, then he/she can change the correspondence address while filling online form. Otherwise he/she has to give a written application for change in address to MKCL office by post before 1 month of the exam.

3.When will be the admission form available on website?

Answer : Please check schedule for individual courses in the important dates. Dates are given on www.mkcl.ws/puext.

4.For how much period form will be avilable?

Answer : Approximately for 1 month form will be available. Please check schedule for individual courses in the important dates column.

5.I forgot my Form number. How could I get it?

Answer : Enquire about your form no by calling call center number by giving your Permanent Registration number (PRN) or your Login ID.

6.What is the procedure to get login id and password if forgot?

Answer : Enquire about your Login ID by calling call center number by giving your Permanent Registration Number (PRN) or Form Number.

7.After filling admission form , do I have to fill another form before the exam?

Answer : There is NO separate examination form to be filled.

8.If I am doing a course internally in Pune University/ other University right now, then can I take admission in Pune University as an external candidate?

Answer : NO. Because student can't produce Original transference Certificate/ Original Migration certificate while doing a course in Pune University/ Other university for external admission and without Original TC/ Migration student can't get admission for external course.

9.I have a educational gap after XII. Can I take admission directly to TY BA/B.Com?

Answer : No. It's 3 years course and student has to complete his/her course in minimum 3 years.

10.Can candidate take addmission for more than one degree course at a time in Pune university either internal or external?

Answer : No. One can take admission for only one degree course at a time in Pune University.

11.Is printed application form for external courses available in the University?

Answer : No. Student has to fill the form online only.

12.Can candidate fill form from MKCL Office?

Answer : No. Student has to fill the form online only.

13.In remote area we don’t have internet service is there any alternative to fill the form?

Answer : Student Facilitation center list is given on website. Student can take help from them in filling online form.

14.What is procedure of external admission?

Answer : Student has to fill online form for the particular course, take the print out of the form and has to submit that form with DD and required documents in MKCL office by post OR by courier OR by speed post only.

15.Can I submit my form copy by hand OR in drop box in MKCL office?

Answer : No. There is no drop box in MKCL office. Student has to submit the form by post/ courier only.

16.What is the procedure to change the stream?(Bcom to BA)

Answer : Student has to fill the online form on basis of 12th and has to submit his/her previous registration card with the ard copy of form to MKCL.

17.Can other state student apply for external course?

Answer : Yes.

18.Is it necessary to fill online form each year?

Answer : Yes.

19.How will MKCL communicate with candidate throughout the year?

Answer : Admission status will be given on site. In case of any discrepancy communication will be made by phone or by post or SMS

20.If candidate gives two addresses then on which address communication will be done?

Answer : On Correspondance Address

21.Can candidate collect his Registration Card,hall ticket and result By hand?

Answer : Student cannot collect Registration Card from MKCL office. Hall ticket will be given on website only. For marksheet, student has to enquire in Pune University.

22.Which courses are provided by Pune University in external mode?

Answer : BA,BCOM, MA, MCOM, MSc Maths, LLM

23.Which document should I submit if my name has been changed after marraige?

Answer : For change in name student has to submit marriage certificate or gazette copy with the form.

24.If candidate has gap in education is there any requirement of gap certificate or affidavit?

Answer : No.There is no need to submit any gap certificate.

25.From whom should I make my documents and registration card attested?

Answer : Student has to get attested their documents from any gazetted officer (any school college Principal/ any class1 officer).

26.Is it compulsory to get Registration Card attested?

Answer : Yes.

27.Is University provide lodging facility to out side candidate at the time of exam?

Answer : No.

28.Where can candidate get the format of paper?

Answer : Student can get the format of paper, syllabus, previous papers from Publication Department of Pune University.

29.How many attempts for each exam is allowed?

Answer : Student has to clear his/her year within 5 years.

30.What will be the exam center?

Answer : Student has to select exam center while filling the admission form.

31.Is it possible to get extra time to blind/PH candidate at the time of exam?

Answer : Please contact the University external section for details.

32.If I do not appear for exam is that attempt considered?

Answer : Yes.If student has not appeared for the exam he/she will get absent marksheet.

33.If candidate remain absent for exam is there any facility to give exam again?

Answer : Yes. Student can reappear for the exam as a repeater.

34.What is the procedure for changing Exam center?

Answer : Please submit written application for change in exam center in MKCL office.

35.Is there any fees concession for reserved category?

Answer : No

36.Is it possible to pay the fees by cash?

Answer : No.Student has to pay the fees by Demand Draft only.

37.Is it possible to pay the fees in installments?

Answer : No. Student has to pay total fee at a time by Demand Draft only.

38.If a candidate does not appear for exam or cancels admission, does he/she get refund of fees?

Answer : Fees once paid are neither refundable nor reansferable under any circumstances.

39.how will I get hall ticket for exam?

Answer : Hall ticket will be available on MKCL site before 10 days of the exam. Student has to take print out of it.

40.Is it necessary to make attestation on hall ticket?

Answer : No.There is no need to attest your hall ticket. In case your photo has not printed on the hall ticket then only you have to paste your photo on it and get it attested.

41.What is the procedure of downloading hall ticket?

Answer : Student will get link for Hall ticket before 10 days of the exam. Student has to click on that link and type his PRN. After getting the hallticket on website student has to take print out of it.

42.I have lost my registration card. Can I get duplicate Registration Card and what will be the procedure for it?

Answer : Please confirm the procedure of duplicate card on call center number.

43.What is the procedure for re-registration?

Answer : While filling the online form there is one question 'Is your registration valid?' If registration period is over, then student has to answer 'No' for the above question and has to submit old registration card with the form.

44.My result is hold due to discrepancy of document. How can I get it?

Answer : Submit the document in MKCL office. You will get the clearance letter. After submitting that letter in Pune University External Section you will get your resultsheet.

45.Is MKCL arrange lectures for external candidate?

Answer : No.

46.Shall we get hard copy of study material from MKCL?

Answer : No. Student didn't get Study material from MKCL. Student has to purchase books from market as per syllabus.

47.Is there any library facility for external candidate?

Answer : No. Student has to download syllabus from site. Reference book names are mentioned in the syllabus. Student has to purchase books from market.

48.From where I can get the syllabus?

Answer : Syllabus is given on Pune University's site i. e. www.unipune.ernet.in

49.What is the procedure for changing subject?

Answer : For changing the subject (if applicable), student has to fill another online form for subject change after 15 days of the admission date and then he/she has to pay Rs 200/- per subject by Demand Draft.

50.How will I get Leaving certificate?

Answer : For leaving certificate, student will have to fill form of TC(transference certificate)in Pune university.

51.I have done my graduation in Pune university, externally (BA/ BCOM). Now I want to do post graduation externally. Do I need to remove TC from University?

Answer : No. If you have done graduation externally, then you have to submit original card of graduation with the form.

52. What is meant by validity of registration?

Answer : : Once you register as external candidate, you have to complete the degree course within a particular duration; if you are unable to complete the degree and your registration expires you can Re-Register and extend the validity period. This duration is different for each course, and is called 'Validity of Registration'. 'Validity of Registration' will be as given below:

  • Under-graduate courses
  • F.Y.B.A. and F.Y.B.Com. - 5 years from the date of registration
  • S.Y.B.A. and S.Y.B.Com. - 4 years from the date of registration
  • T.Y.B.A. and T.Y.B.Com. - 2 years from the date of registration
  • Post-graduate courses
  • First year of M.A. and M.Com. - 4 years from the date of registration
  • Second year of M.A. and M.Com. - 2 years from the date of registration
  • First year of M.Sc. and L.L.M. - 4 years from the date of registration
  • Second year of M.A./M.Sc. and L.L.M. - 2 years from the date of registration
